The process of cleaning it is not tough as a mild car shampoo can do the trick. Use the shampoo to rinse the rims clean and then wipe off with a soft cloth so that the rims do not get scratches. If there is some tough dirt, which refuses to go, then you can use special chrome cleaner, which is available in most car shops.

There are a lot of cleaners that are available at a lower price but you should not use them as the special electroplated rims can get spoilt. Once the rims are cleaned, you should apply a car wax on the surface of the same so that the dirt and debris, which is collected on it in ensuing rides, can easily be removed.

When you have used these rims, you should give your car for the automated washes because the harsh chemicals used can lead to damage. Also, the strong jet of water can lead to perforations on the same. It is better to hand wash the chrome rims so that you get optimum performance and looks for a long time to come!
