73Goodyear Wrangler With Kevlar - A Man’s Tire
Shopping for tires can be frustrating and confusing. There are so many different tires on the market and the numeric markings can add even more stress to an already difficult buying decision.
Goodyear Wrangler tires are rapidly becoming the brand of choice among off-road drivers. Those drivers who want a rugged tire that also provides a smooth, quiet ride need to take a look at the Wrangler series of tires featuring Silent Armor Technology. The Silent Armor series features DuPont Kevlar, which provide strength and toughness. The Kevlar also absorbs noise, making for nice, quiet ride.
The Silent Armor Tires are big and brawny. They’re like the Conan the Barbarian of tires. Their look just says, "What is best in life?” and the drive answers “To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and…” No, maybe that was me. But that was me as I was driving my truck on my new Goodyear Wrangler and crushing my enemy’s mailbox and driving his discreetly wrapped mail before me and all across the neighborhood. My enemy’s name is Bob, by the way. He’s my neighbor. And I crushed his mailbox but good.
But, that doesn’t matter; the quality of these tires far exceeds everything else in the same category.
Truth is, while these tires were designed for both on and off-roading, they were made for light pick-up trucks, SUVs, and vans. Now, you can finally drive your vans to work ....through the jungle. Thank you, Goodyear Wrangler, for making these modern day station wagons (yeah, I said it) cool again.
The muscles on these Wrangler Silent Armor Tires are a blend of silica tread compounds (steroids for tires. – it’s legal). This compound is molded into a multi-faceted, symmetrical tread design. The chiseled shoulders and sidewalls give the tires that tough, mean look.
Goodyear's Durawall compound is molded into the bottom of the tread groove, making them nearly invulnerable to rock/stone penetration. As if that weren’t enough, the Silent Armor series is reinforced with Kevlar! Bulletproof Conan tires! Watch out, Bob. I’ll be back. In the meantime, here are some of latest Goodyear Wrangler Kevlar lined offerings for off-road enthusiasts.
The Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar
The Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar (MT/R - Maximum Traction/Reinforced) is Goodyear's Off-Road Maximum Traction tire enthusiasts who are serious about off-road driving. The MT/R with Kevlar is designed to increase toughness when it conquers mud, climbs over rocks and blazes trails.
The Goodyear Wrangler MT/R with Kevlar is made with a silica rubber tread molded into an asymmetric design and combines off-road traction with on-road handling. Internally, the tire contains twin steel belts and is Goodyear's first off-road tire to use Kevlar. The Kevlar sidewall reinforcement brings superior puncture resistance to that portion of the tire that needs added protection when driving off-road.
Wrangler DuraTrac
The DuraTrac was developed for use one full-sized pickup trucks and SUV’s. It’s designed to present off-road proficiency in dirt, and mud with on-road stability.
DuraTrac tires feature a chiseled tread compound that resists block chipping, and tearing, especially during heavy applications (like running over Bob’s mailbox. Take that!). The tread design combines heavy shoulders and angled center tread blocks to improve stability in both dry and wet conditions.
The light truck tires have the mountain/snowflake symbol to identify that they meet industry standards for severe snow use.
In general, Goodyear Wrangler tires are perfect for all trucks and come in models that service any purpose. The new Silent Armor series is good for traveling on any surface, but is especially equipped to be the crushing, and conquering off road tire you know you’ve always wanted. Even if the only off-road action your truck has ever seen has been running over that pesky corner of the lawn (or your neighbor’s mailbox) there’s a series of Wrangler tire available for you. All Wranglers provide a smooth, quiet, and comfortable ride that could only come from Goodyear.
These excellent off road tires from Goodyear also come with triple tread zone for a better ride. All Goodyear SUV tires are designed to be quiet and ride equally well on the highway, at the beach, or on rugged terrain. Technologically optimized tread design and advanced tire expertise make Goodyear tires easy, trustworthy, and versatile.
In Conclusion
For an aggressive tire that can handle the worst off-road conditions but still civil on the highway, these tires can't be beat! Also you help but love the brutally aggressive look of these tires. They will crush the competition and hear the lamentation of your neighbors.
How you know when you need new Goodyear Wranglers?
Check your tread depth regularly and learn to recognize the signs that it’s time to replace your tires. Simply insert a penny into the tread groove, upside down, with Lincoln facing towards you. If you can see all of Lincoln’s head, you need new Goodyear Wrangler.
